SENSEI JOHN MORGART JR | FOUNDER
Sensei John Morgart Jr. is the founder and chief instructor of Wei Son Do Martial Arts, a practical, reality-focused martial arts system built on awareness, confidence, control, and discipline.
A 5th Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, John began his martial arts journey as a young student and has spent decades training, teaching, competing, and studying multiple systems, including Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwon Do, Chuck Norris System, Judo, Krav Maga, Hapkido, boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and close-quarters self-defense concepts. His experience shaped the creation of Wei Son Do, a system designed to prepare students not just for forms or rank, but for pressure, decision-making, and real-world situations.
John’s teaching philosophy is simple: martial arts should build stronger people. Through Wei Son Do, he helps students develop respect, focus, resilience, situational awareness, self-defense skills, and the confidence to perform under pressure. His students have earned recognition in competition, including major tournament success at the Arnold Sports Festival, proving that preparation, discipline, and mindset can overcome expectations.
Beyond the dojo, John has received public recognition for his dedication to martial arts, youth development, and community impact, including a county proclamation and media features. He is also involved in acting, stunt-oriented performance, and film/television work, bringing the same authenticity, discipline, and intensity from martial arts into his creative career.
For John, Wei Son Do is more than a martial arts system. It is a mission: to help students protect themselves, believe in themselves, and carry the values of Respect, Health, and Discipline into every part of life.
